That was only one I applied for, cause it's the only place I know well enough to walk up on a big bull.

My dad (I am in the photo) got on the board in 2008 with this one and we are hoping to do better this year.  Yes, he has good luck drawing for the second time in 4 years.  I will be doing the calling again and couldn't be happier.  It will be a good way to spend the season.

Awesome tag! We drew last year and had a blast but didn't come home with anything. Saw a lot of elk though.

Worked many, many bulls in that unit last season.  Great hunt.  This is my GP archery bull from last season.

Wholesale Sports has Kiosk with a National Geographic mapping program and you can print out custom maps of your liking.
You can buy the program (I did) and print you won out at home. It caost $99 to buy the program and believe each map to print is about $7 or so at WS

Do you have the National Forest map that covers the entire National Forest, or the one that only covers the Ranger District? The Ranger District maps are pretty good. I find them more useful than just about anything else.

You have a great tag. I drew that tag for rifle last year. I have been hunting Goose Prairie for 15 straight years now! Ill be over there this weekend scouting. Thats your best bet is to get in the woods and get familier with the area. Its a big, steep nasty bit of land but some huge bulls come from there!!!

We drew that tag last year (archery) and it was an eye opener. We were in bulls but just counldn't pull the trigger. It is some ROUGH country, get in shape. We found most of the bulls in the bottom of the canyons. If you can, get into Indian Creek meadows. There will be an outfitter or two in there but its a big area. Most of the wilderness area roadless so plan on hiking if you go in there. Good Luck
A bad day in the woods is better than a good day at work.
