Good Rut timing. Learn to CALL! And I mean really call. Not Hoot chi mamas. They will come to you.....

The best intell your going to get really depends on the weather just as your hunt arives. And guess who goes first?
As a archery hunter, You just shot yourself in the foot....
Were all here for one reason, dont segrogate and stereotype. Ive spent years studing, calling and being different than the off the shelf elk calls. Even proved those methods in the Rimrock unit as well across the street in the Bumping. Time and time again. Ill shoot my Cow or Spike and call Bulls just for fun and prove my own abilities. For when I get a tag like that!

Not trying to be a dik, but you may have just lost the best intell you'll get, come late Sept!

hey for that matter I'lll be there hanging out just getting a feel for the area while those guys are hunting....

That area gets hunted hard in the archery season. You will pretty much be all alone up there.

That's nothing compared to rifle and the archery tags. It's a big unit!
