Margaret Unit Cow Modern
« on: October 22, 2011, 09:21:04 AM »
Good Mornin All

Brand new to the site and I'm really enjoying what I've seen so far. I drew a Margaret antlerless tag for the modern season. Been up scouting once in middle Sept. but all the gates were locked so we rode the bikes in on a couple roads and walked in on one for a ways. Didn't see much sign or hear any bulls screamin yet. Might have to make another trip over for more scouting and hope the gates are open. Had a Mudflow muzzy antlerless tag a couple years ago and did good on that one. Anyone out there have any helpful info on the Margy? Thanks guys and good luck.

Tons of cows up there, MT bike the gated roads on the left side of the highway going up from kid valley with a game cart, should be a slam dunk

Thanks for the info. Went scouting up there aways past Kid Valley on the Mtn bikes on a couple of the roads on the left side but didn't get back in that far, lotta up hill stuff. Waiting for my info pack from F&G and it seems like I've heard that maybe the gates will be open for the season, we'll see. Keeping my fingers crossed. I think it's gonna be pretty crowded with 140 permits issued for up there. Thanks again.
