Good info.  Would this affect bears or other animals eating the offal?

I know some guys have never put an animal the size of a moose on the ground. I figured they could use a little help finding one in the first place and then advice dealing with it after it's down.  :twocents:

Nice picture Ridgerunner

I'm one of those guys so I really appreciate your advice.  I drew a cow moose tag this year so I may not be doing much caping but I'll be doing a lot of packing.

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes to anything that eats the infected animal, that is how the parasite spreads.

Hunting is always tough. Your guide certainly makes it easy for me. I am dreaming of hunting moose at least one time in life. This kind of awesome guide surely keeps me motivated. Thank you

Just read this again for the 4th or 5th time.  I'll be in north Idaho in 3 weeks......  Can hardly wait!  Thanks again.  And I really like the cordless saw idea.  Saw a guide us a small chain saw as well that he lubricated with vegetable oil.  That worked really well.  Nice to take them apart down the spine if possible.

Bearpaw,

I just saw the good information you posted on moose hunting. Thank you for the good post. I was curious if you think that the calling and brush raking done during the late Sept/early Oct rut is still effective in late November?

Thanks,

KC
