All the years I have been in the woods, I do not recall ever seeing a spotted calf before.  I knew they existed, but never saw one still in spots.  That is pretty cool.

All the years I have been in the woods, I do not recall ever seeing a spotted calf before.  I knew they existed, but never saw one still in spots.  That is pretty cool.

Really, I have seen some calves that still have spots into august. I am not sure when they lose there spots, but it is the time of year when the cows should be dropping their calves, lots of them should be running around. The colockum in the evening is a great place to see elk and their young in the spring all the way through the summer.
