Handgun yote
« on: June 21, 2011, 11:54:22 PM »
Well another one bites the dust. I was out cutting hay in the back field. 1000yards from the house and sheep :bash: She decided to get a little to close and give me a chance with the t/c contender in 223rem with my 50g nosler btips handloads  Shot was 80 yards she took off right before the shot but was doing the slow lope looking back. Big mistake :chuckle: This is the 2nd one in a week. This is also the 17th coyote I have taken with a handgun! I love shooting stuff with handguns!

Great job man! But for me, with the length on that thing calling it a "handgun" is a bit of stretch!  :chuckle:  But its certainly not a pistol.... or a rifle either.... "pifle"? "rifstol"?  :dunno:  Either way its cool!

17 yote's with a pistol!?!?!?!?

Sir,  I bow to your obvious superiority.

How far do you figure you could take a yote with that Contender?

I have a buris with posi -loc on it its a 1.5-4x. Works pretty good

I have most of them with a 6" 357mag. This one has a little more range on it :chuckle:

I missed one 2 days ago at about 200yards :bash: shot about 4" over his back. I figure 100 and under is a pretty sure thing. I just havent spent enough time shooting it past 100 to really say what my limit is with it. A guy can always get lucky :chuckle:

I pride myself in being very good with a handgun, I can shoot a rifle and shotgun good, but I shoot handguns very good. This last muzzleloader season I shot one at 110y with a 6" 357mag yes I do have 3 witnesses :chuckle: Yes, that was a little luck but you got to have a heck of a trigger squeeze :chuckle:

Great Job! Keep that darn yote population under control. I can't ever get time to go down there on the ranch and shoot stuff except for hunting season.
