The pard is shooting 200 accubonds outta a win mag @ 3080. That RUM should be rippin em out there a hellava lot faster than 2860. I disagree, squeeze every last fps out of it, with good accuracy, Barrels are cheap.
Hear ya go bull blaster, 2 grains less powder, and a hellava lot faster.LoadID 11139 Bullet Berger VLD BulletWeight 210 grs Powder Hodgdon Retumbo PowderWeight 89 grs Primer Federal 215 Brass Make Remington Barrel Length 26 (inches) C.O.L 3.8 (inches) Velocity 3025 fps Group 0.25 (inches by 3 shot at 100 yds) Submitted Date 6/21/2006 8:17:00 PM Submitted By remman2506 Gun Info Comment Very accurate load. Let us know what you have success with, I am still playing with mine, but like what the 168's have done so far.

quick question for you rum guys, do you all have brakes on em or not? just curious not trying to thread jack...
Please excuse my spelling and extra words in my last post. My phone likes to add words all over and change spelling. I meant I have data from berger that says max of 92a grains retumbo for 2930 fps. So I am not far off if you subtract 2 grains.
Ya I am thinking about trying other loads. Just hard too with the accuracy results from my current combo. I will try the amax. I will also try another chrono but I think it is close the ballistic calculator gave me correct come up clicks to 520 yards. I haven't hunted with bergers yet. But have heard mostly good things. I just want something that will hit an elk like a freight train. I tried 200 acubonds and they weren't near as accurate. Over an inch. I will talk to Shawn at defensive edge when pick up my gun. See what he says about tell velocity.
I think I might try some 200 grain Barnes tipped tsx at some point this summer. Just wish I could buy a 15 pack of billets.to try instead of an entire box.
