Can u feel it?
« on: July 06, 2011, 03:28:20 AM »
I work super early and love the cool crisp feel in the air this time of year. Sunrise yesterday brought a slight fog off the pond next door where I work and I had visions of a herd of elk feeding in mist ........  Hurry up Sept 6th.   It's Killing me :bash:

I feel it and it feels like May. Going to be a short summer.

I don't know about feel it but I can hear it.  Woke up Sunday morning at 5:30 to a bugling bull and 30 cows and 10 calves chirping and walking across my property.  They were all talking up a storm, nothing gets the heart pounding like a bugle in the early morning.  I was shocked that the bulls were running with the cows already in this group.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

All I feel is my pastures drying out and the fire hazard of my neighbor's pasture which is waist high and dry as a cob.  Come on Fall!!!!!!  I want this next month and 1/2 to shoot by so I can get back to catching URB's in the Columbia.

Oh, I can geel it!  The pain is killing me!  The wife and I went up the Little N. Fork of the CDA river on Sat. to do some exploring. Ran a few miles back on an old logging road and managed to get into a small herd (5-7 vocal) of elk.  Of course, had to put the stock on 'em.  Managed to get w/in 20' of a cow.  Broke a couple large branches across my knee as I was sneaking down the hill, must have peaked their interest with that move.  When I finally saw the cow, she was moving up the hill straight at me.
Come on Oct 1!  The Observatory is waiting for me!!
