Easy camp shower!

Came across this shower idea and thought I would pass it along. Pretty easy to make and real cheap, I purchased a 3gal weed sprayer, painted it black, cut the weed sprayer head off and put a standard kitchen sink sprayer back on it using a small hose clamp. That is it now all you need to do is fill it with warm water or let it sit in the sun to heat up and you are good to go. Two very good ideas. In our camp, we don't bathe. Of course, we rarely see critters!

I've had one of these for about 15 years now. Surprising how good of a shower you can get with 3 gallons. Works great.

I'm going to use it. It's a great idea. We've been doing the rubber wash basin, stand on some spruce boughs, soap up and dump a bucket on your head routine.

Perfect ratio is one gallon boiling water and two gallons cold.

I read the link. I guess I should have taken this to market. I actually got the idea from a couple retired folks up in Canada when I was fly fishing up there in college. The old guy had put one of these together and I thought it was a great idea.

Hey what you do in your camp is your business. If you can get your hunting partner to do your back with a loofah, that's your business. We don't play that way in our camp!

Hey what you do in your camp is your business. If you can get your hunting partner to do your back with a loofah, that's your business. We don't play that way in our camp!

I have a couple of immersible pumps with shower heads (one spare), they run off 4 "D" batteries, put them in a pot of warm water.
They work great..

Looks like a good idea, can't be worse than using the COLD creek.

We just use a turkey fryer to quickly heat up a big pot of water, then dump it in a 5 gallon solar shower bag using a funnel, add some cold water until it's full and at the right temp, and there's your shower.  We just carry it to the shower tent, hang it, and let gravity do the rest.  It works well and is fairly inexpensive, also there are no batteries/pumps to deal with.

I would think the bucket would be more effective if it was black to absorb the sun.
