That's what I was thinking carpsniperg2
Stan Marsh: "My Uncle Jimbo says we gotta get up there early. Right Uncle Jimbo?"

Jimbo: "That's right, Stanley. Animals are much easier to shoot in the morning."

Nice! I'd love to head over and explore the "real" west side. Just let me know when/where to be!

I'd be up for it! I'm not new to hunting but I've never got any grouse!

nope mostly squirrels & deer (in TN) for me so far haven't really hunt any birds cuz growing up I didn't really have anyone to take me hunting (my dad thought it was a waste of time) kinda learn all on my own and I didn't have a shotgun so when I went to the woods it was either with a .22 (squirrel/rabbit) or my 30-30 or a bow(for deer) Since I moved out here I have really only had time to hunt for mulies but this year I'm gonna try real hard for bear. I hunted for elk here once during modern down by Mt St Helens and after I lost count at 500 trucks going up the mountain :yike: and no seeing a dang animal I haven't gone back I will prolly try it again some day but not till I have time and money to properly scout the eastside (screw the wetside during modern I don't like barrels pointed at me all day).

Bad news is you will have two barrels pointed at you on the East side. Pretty crowded over there too. Going to be a real mess this year with all the road closures.

I guess I'll pass then but still two is better than 500+ seriously I was afraid an elk was gonna walk out above us and we would get mowed down by the firing squad above

I'm not new to hunting, nor to grouse - although the grouse I used to hunt were in northern Maine. I grew up there and hunted every fall for partridge and whitetail deer.  I've been living in WA for 11 years now and I hunt whitetail and mulies in Eastern, WA now with some friends.

I'm located in Silverdale and would love to chat with ya sometime. Been a long time since I shot a partridge, or grouse.  :)

Shoot me a PM if interested in meeting sometime to chat.
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

I have been trying to go out for about 3 years deer or upland bird hunting and have never seen anything. I would enjoy the opportunity to go with someone who is experienced!
