I won't hunt Entiat GMU 247.  I would go on up river to one of the trailheads and harvest a doe or pack into the high country for a buck. Not that many local deer in GMU 247 or 250.

There are quite a few local bucks. Look at all the one that get shot during modern firearm. Most all of them are locals.

I love all the misinformation thrown out there to steer people away from a early or general hunt

Been there and done the early archery thing there. I hunted the spots i knew well wich were wintering areas.I dont recall seeing so much as a doe. Quit a few guys were road hunting for grouse with shotguns thou. I would get up as high as you can if possible.Maybe even try the chiwawa instead since its closer to the summer areas

the wintering areas in the region are barren/open sage hills and you dont want to be there when its still 80+ degrees during the day. Stick to the timber on north facing slopes :twocents:

No kidding! From telling someone its closed to telling them there's no local deer. If you don't want to share information, don't post anything.
