Just get one of the synthetic ones and cut it to your desired length....

A hacksaw works good for cutting carbon-fiber rods.  5-minute Epoxy good for gluing ends on.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

The ends on the newer ram rods are screw on..... So you can inter change cleaning tips and such.... I have the one my rifle came with..... I ONLY use it in the field to reload after a shot.... I have another that's a lot longer that I use for sighting in and cleaning...... I call it the range rod...... Get two..... Leave the one in the gun alone until you need it in the field....  :twocents:

I use an aluminum ramrod.  I don't like the noodly flexibleness of the carbon ones.  I drilled a 16 penny sized hole in the end to be able to pull it if I had a tight cleaning patch or need to pull a bullet.  That way I don't have to use pliers.

There's more than one way to skin a cat, but that cat won't like any of them...
