IDFG Survey & Comment On Wolf Proposals
« on: July 14, 2011, 01:20:20 AM »
Idaho has posted a survey form to ask for input on their new wolf season proposals. Please take 1 or 2 minutes and help our friends in Idaho by filling out their survey.

My Comment
I think IDFG is finally recognizing the overall impacts of wolves. I would like to compliment IDFG on your recent moves to manage wolves and to inform people about E. Granulosis. Knowing that Idaho is required by the ESA to maintain a minimum of 150 wolves, I think you are on the right track with wolf management, I applaud your efforts.

Longer seasons will likely be needed, but I do understand the need to move forward with your current season proposal for 2011. This will provide Idaho a good reference for adjusting future wolf seasons. Keep up the positive effort to manage wolves responsibly. IDFG, the people, and wildlife of Idaho will benefit by your efforts to responsibly manage wolves in Idaho.
