Thanks! 3 points going into the draw. My dad drew 2 years ago with 1 point. I guess it's better to be lucky than good.

Nice work. Did your dad do any good with that tag? Any pics?

NWWA! Right on! While I'm originally from WA, I'm down here in AZ. I got drawn for a Unit 36 tag (Coues Deer).

Thanks for posting--I'd been checking the last few days and decided to lay off a bit and give their servers a break  :P

My dad passed some in the 180s and missed 2 offhand shots at running monsters. Nice on the coues! I would like to do that some day. My dads friend shot one archery last year and I think it was in the 130's.

You have too many hunts this year. :twocents:  I guess it's better than not having any, but you're going to be hard pressed to fill every tag with a higher end animal.  Best of luck though!

I agree that I drew too many good hunts but better to have a tag than not. Fortunately I or my dad have hunted three of the areas with success so that helps a lot but still gonna be tough. I hoped for two hunts but never expected so many with low draw odds. Will try my best. Thanks!

Having hunted 3 of them is a huge advantage. Hopefully the seasons don't overlap too much.

36 A,B or C? which hunt? Oct, Nov, or Dec? Be VERY CAREFUL, a lot of Border Patrol in those units, and a lot of Illegal Immigrants wandering around. Great units for Coues!!

Only new Mexico second season elk and Arizona deer overlap. I am thinking that since I already have two other elk hunts and with what my dad says from his hunt I will probably concentrate on Arizona and if I see what I want early then head to new Mexico. If not I will have to eat the tag but I really think the high end potential for a trophy is better for the deer than the elk.
