Not a bad first day
« on: August 01, 2011, 03:33:31 PM »
So i didnt shoot a bear today but i did see a yearling that didnt give me a decent shot. I also saw a 2pt  in the middle of the clear cut i was on and i got to watch him for a couple hours.  walking in i saw 5 rabbit and 10 grouse which was cool it made me wish i had brought my .22 pistol instead of my.357!!! definitely a good way to start the season

Sounds like a good day, is grouse open over there already?

Sounds like a good place to return to after grouse season opens. I have hardly seen any grouse at all this spring and summer.

Yeah I meant to check my regs before I went out. Good thing I didn't have my .22! Has the small game always opened in September? I thought you used to be able to hunt a lot of the animals for longer than two months?
