Were the yellow bellied? If they were make great targets for the up coming season. We shot a few last weekend, but didnt see a whole bunch. Was this over on the Eastside?, If so might want to get after them before the heat sets in and the grass gets to tall.

If I were you I would get ahold of any orchard owner over there and see if you can hunt them on their property, Here is a couple photos I took this weekend over in Chelan, Look for the piles of old wood and just wait for them. One day I saw about 10 of them in this pile of wood !!

I believe their are 3 types of Marmot in Washington.  I know 2 of them Olympic (marmota olympus) and Horay (marmota caligata) are protected and are illegal to hunt

thanks for the advice these marmots are found near big rock piles.  but is there a certain elevation to look for them. because i have read alot about elevation with them. i am trying to stay near by because gas is so expensive but a little driving won't hurt. i am in suncrest just north of spokane.

During the spokane lilac parade I saw two of them in a rock embankment sort of thing in downtown spokane. They were pretty neat and now I want to go get a few of them.
