EYE GUARDS
« on: June 17, 2008, 06:59:16 PM »
We have talked about whether to count them or not.  Some muleys and blacktails have them some don't.  Some have some phenomenal ones.  Almost all whitetails have them.  Some better than others.  Lets post some pics of some of the best eyeguards you have.  Racks taken, field photos, shed antlers, whatever you got.  If they have been on here before, don't fret, as we have lots of new members.  I'll dig out one of my all time favorites and mayb another one or two.

Here is a 97 inch Washington antler.  This was a relative to one of the bucks 300 was after this winter.

This is one of those antlers you kind of need to get your hands on to get the real character of it.

I went through some pictures and found these whitetails with unique eyeguards.

I shot this buck in 2001, his eyeguards are almost 8 inches long (one is forked).

Here is another buck with long eyeguards.

I usually don't count eyeguards unless it's a whitetail. There MIGHT be cases where I would count them on a blacktail or a mulie but they would have to be exceptional. Just my 1/2 cent.

Nice ones guys.   Thats a dandy buck Timber.  Love the close up where he is giving your camera a kiss.  Sort of like he knew he was going to be famous someday and wanted to say check out my eyeguard.  That last buck is a hawg.  Love those massive diggers.  Keep them coming guys.
