There's one of the slugs that killed the bear

Congrats on your first bear.  I've tried that pole method for packing them out, was the last time I ever tried it.  How did it work for you?
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

I can tell ya he did pretty well with the meat pole. He on one end, I on the other. We'd just pick it up, walk a bit, rest, repeat. Made pretty good time keeping up the rythm. We'll see if he thinks so as well. I remember he was getting a little worn out.

I think we moved him pretty well, getting him uphill from where he fell was really the only hard part.  Not a lot of good footing in there

Sweeeet    Way to go man. Got to love that. First bear on your first hunt. Dont stop now, keep'er rollin. Go and get a deer and an elk this year too. Pack that freezer and you can eat your free meet in front of the fireplace all comfy on your bear skin rug this winter....
