Ultralight bipod. Any suggestions ?

Any suggestions for an ultra light (like 3-4 ounces or less) bipod?
 
Desired Attributes:
-to be small and light
-only will be used for prone shooting so, what, 6 inch max height?
-Fixed height is OK
-mountable to a front swivel (not barrel or rail)
-foldable
 
Basically I am looking for something I can put on my 300 WM for hunting.  I want to minimize as much weight as possible so that it has minimal influence on the balance of the rifle.  I also want to be able to bring it on backpacking trips, and every ounce counts!

Browning makes a super light bipod. I have one on the 270wsm that my wife has taken from me its a nice light little bipod.

My recommendation would be to use your pack is ultralight and prone only.   I'm not sure if Snipe Pod makes one that small, but their larger ones are full swivel and tilt and very lightweight.

I have 2 of the Snipepod bipods, one for sitting and one for prone. I do not know the weight but it is minimal. I strongly recommend the Snipepod. I have used the prone bipod for a deer at 508 yards and 2 bears at 530 and 540 yards. Rufous.

Excellent, they sell a 9 inch model that only wieghs 2 ounces. 

It looks like it folds forward as well.

I have a Harris UL that attaches to the front sling swivel stud.  I use one with long legs.  The short ones are good for the gun range and shooting on flat land with manicured grass.  I find with the longer leg ones I can get a higher elevation range for shooting from a flat area to a elevated spot.  Also, by having legs that extend to different lengths, you can shoot along a steep slope and keep the gun level.  If the legs are the same length, the gun will tilt to be parallel to the slope.

I'd like to have longer legs as an option, but I am trying to keep the weight down.

I have a harris 6-9 inch bipod, but it weighs in at 10 ounces!  (see photo)   I'd like that cut at least in half.

I like those sniperpod bipods.  they look nice.  the only thing I do not like about them is the way they fold forward.  it looks kinda strange.  Anyone have issues with them in the stowed postion?

I made a set out of carbon arrow shafts, aluminum arrow shafts for joint bushings and shock cord. I used surgical tubing to join the legs. they weigh as much as 3 arrow shafts and work good. they do not attach to the gun, but can be kept in a pocket, or a simple elastic tube on your pack/sling. I have yet to see where I need a bipod right NOW! as the shots are usually ambush type scenes and I have time to set up.

My larger one quick detatches.  You'd have to make a little velcro holder to keep the legs from flopping in you left it on all the time. I've never used one of the prone models, but I'd imagine they are the same.  One mount, two bipods.  I still use the Harris 13-27 canting model for big game, but don't think there is a better bipod out there for coyote calling than the snipepod.

how do you secure the bipod when you fold in forward?  or do you remove it and re-attache when you need it?

The legs are free floating and don't stay forward on mine. Mines several years old, so maybe they've changed. I always detatch mine. That's why I've sacrificed the weight of the Harris. Speed of deployment in certain situations is priceless.
