Visit this link for all the price increase details  http://wdfw.wa.gov/news/release.php?id=aug0511a

So, I thought we paid $10 for a WDFW parking pass embedded in the cost of a licence? So, is that going to be reduced?  :chuckle:
oh yeah riiiight sure.....NOT....  :bash: :bash: :bash:

and yes the pass fee is embedded in the license but the state hopes everyone has smoked enough weed to forget this tidbit and then to agree when they decide they want to charge you for the supposed free pass they have been giving you...like the license fees they claim havent gone up for a decade that just went up last year...do they think everyone smokes weed or have they treated the water in public water systems forgetting some of us dont drink from that koolaid supply....

you know what I would like to do....back a sh_it sprayer truck up to the capitol and fertilize that place....they could use a nice liquid manure bath.....might make it smell better  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Haven't you heard? License fees go up in price beginning Sept. 1, 2011

NO HADN'T HEARD THAT  :chuckle:

My point was, and is, if the WDFW Vehicle Use Permits are terminated, and there was a fee, if that fee is not also terminated then the actual increase in licences is greater than is being reported. And, where are these new funds going?, a WDFW General Fund? And to fund what?
I think it's a fair question. Vetting it here is something I do a lot before writing WDFW myself. Some of you are smarterer than I.

I plan to comment more once the increases go into effect. If I understand youths now have to by a licence.

Nothing in there shows what happened to the Vehicle Use Permits fees. I assume it was just "absorbed" as we are used to paying it and nobody has bothered to ask about it. What I am saying is to just end it and then raise the licence fee on top of it and then require a "New Pass" is being dishonest on the percentage it increased. They need to end the current "Vehicle Use Permits" and then show the true increase in License fees and then discuss the "Discovery Pass."

(My  :twocents: )Of course then people would have to see the true impact of how much it has increased and would really want to know exactly what they are paying for and may question the little things like the never ending lawsuits for Salmon and soon to be, Wolves. They are big money makers. I am sure the Multi-Million dollar groups that file them can't wait for their paychecks from us taxpayers. (We need a take it in the rear icon.)  ;)

We will never get anywhere until enough people realize how big this issue is. It goes way beyond WDFW. Did you read the latest lawsuit on Salmon out of Oregan?

its bigger than salmon it goes all the way to the core of animal and individual rights of people vs the rights of society to dictate and control our lives.  I can actually connect the dots linking everything from license fees to child protective services and hit animal rights on the way through... but I am a nobody and can be brushed off as a conspiracy theory follower so am trying to just walk away from this stuff....nothing I do or say matters anyway :dunno: so its just me venting and its pointless....

You are right. But, I have found discussing this with officials, and with people who make money even in a round about way from it they sure get testy when you point it out. I think they fear us more than we realize.

There was a time when American Individualism was the pride of America. We were like elephants. Socialism seems to have captured this ideology and chained it up. You know, if you study the Circus the young elephants are held with mighty chains and they struggle and struggle. The older ones only have a little rope that keeps them in check. If you look at how hard the war against boys being boys are now, it is amazing the similarities. Adults now days with all the power to walk away from Socialism won't even try. They just sit down and obey.

It really is amazing how rapidly complacent and docile we've become. Is it something in the environment? Does it happen so gradually we don't notice? or are we taught early on to just sit back, shut up and let it happen?

Have you ever heard of "Social Ecology?" It is a lot of the problem. This isn't to highjack this thread it is exactly the point.

This social engineering has been going on for a long time, and I think allot of it starts in the education system in this country.  I think once we take the education of our youth out of the hands of a bunch of entitled, neo-socialists we will start climbing out of the mess we are in.  It wasnt that many years ago Americans were regarded for being bold, and brash.  We scoffed at the europeans saying they were complacent, and weak the world respected our country because they knew the results of insulting us.  We traded our freedom for a soft tranny that slowly invades every aspect of our lives.  Now we have an America who has forgotten its greatness, and the world is much worse off because of it.

I went to my shooting spot on DNR land and a new sign was up, Discovery Pass required. So I went and bought one 35 bucks  :bash: And room for one license #. At least on the Vehicle Use Permits you could put more then one on it. This hole thing would go down a lot EZ'er if you could put more then one plate # on it. I have 3 vehicles that I use at a cost of over a 100 bucks. If someone on here could draft up a letter we all could cut and past it to an e-mail to our Representatives. I would but not good at it.

I broke down and bought one.
I fold it up in old liscence holder and stuff down on my dash between the windshield and dash and do not fill in vehicle liscence #.
If I change vehicles i just pull it out and put it in another vehicle, been doing the same thing with the WDFW pass for years with never problem.
I will not have crap hanging from my mirror its distracting.
Just an FYI suggestion.

Unfortunately, I think you are right.  My son is an 8th grade honors student, and has been taught almost nothing of American history in school.  I think individual rights are an increasingly "Inconvenient Truth" and not PC for the urban majority and government elite.  People who insist on their Constitutional rights are increasingly marginalized as whackos and fringe, whether it is unpopular free speech, owning and keeping firearms, private property rights, due process ... these are all impediments to social engineering.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

In tiny letters, it says you can also use your vehicle permit.

I had to remind the checker of that when he checked our car first. His reply was " we should really get one".
I told him hell no, I already paid for it. He could go buy me one if he wanted me to have one that bad.

He was miffed cause every car had a vehicle permit, not one discovery pass. :IBCOOL:

Regarding Discovery pass! I am working in Moses lake for a couple of weeks, my wife and kids came over for a visit for a few days, and one evening I say, lets drive out to sun lakes area, have a cold beverage and enjoy a nice evening. We get out there and every pull out by lake lenore, and blue lake had a sign that said Discovery Pass required. Three signs within a half mile. We did not have a pass, but the sad thing was, all these areas were empty, no cars, probably becuase no one had passes. I could not legally pull up to a lake and take a picture of the family because I did not have a "F-ing" pass!!!! I was livid! I did not have my veh use permit. The law is BS! :twocents:
