Not required but "encouraged."

I'm most likely going to ID since I had to buy the license to put in for hunts, anyway.  Unless I draw second chance some OTC unit.

I hunt Idaho every year and wear it about 50% of the time. I always carry it in my pack and if I even THINK that someone is in the same area as I am I'll normally put it on.

With that being said, I never know with 100% accuracy if I am alone or not, I guess I just put it on when I feel that I might be mistaken for an animal. I do love the fact that I have the option though!

 :yeah:

Sure would be nice to have the option here. Sometimes I'd like to just wear an orange hat. I feel that is enough orange since it's up high where it's more likely to be seen. I also would like to have the option of wearing a backpack and/or a raincoat over my orange vest at times. Problem is, I don't have an orange raincoat or backpack, and my orange vest will not fit over them. Oh well, I haven't been caught yet.   8)

I never thought wearing my pack cut into the 400 sq in requirement!  Whoops lol.  I'll probably just wear a hat and make sure my vest is draped over the antlers ; )

law or not I wear it,it should be an option..I get mixed feelings about this one...you could be in a ghille suit and not need to worry about me,our in animal skins and not worry.Im 100 percent sure before I shoot,but,well...you know :bash:

In indiana you just need a piece of orange that can be see from 360 degrees, we just get a bunch of cheep blaze orange caps before the season and good to go!
There's more than one way to skin a cat, but that cat won't like any of them...

Not required, but I still wear it.  I LOVE the fact that it's not required.  If someone doesn't care the wear it, don't make them.

I have had people look at me through there scope in washington when I had a orange vest on. I hate wearing them more often than not people don't see you when wearing camo. I hunt in idaho every year and don't even take it with me when I go. And I would never wear it here if I could get away with it.

I have hunted ID for the past 11 years and never once have I put it on nor have I ever felt endangered.  However to each his own.
I've spent most of my life hunting and fishing....the rest has been wasted

Really with all the regs on what you can shoot, someone should have done enough glassing before they pull the trigger to know it's not a human, really how do you mistake a 3 pt buck for a hunter?!
