Yeah they are great for solo hunting when you don't have a partner to set up behind you. Advancing that 50 or so yards past the call makes a huge difference. The big downside is that my Foxpro is over 5lbs with batteries so it's not really conducive to bivy style hunts. I cannot justify packing that much extra weight for a call unless it's just a day hike or relatively short distance. It has it's place but is by no means a cure all.
