New Zealand Hunt
« on: August 19, 2011, 09:24:31 PM »
Went to New Zealand South Island this past May (2011) Great trip, long plane ride, but not as bad as going to Africa, Shot a Himalayan Tahr, did this hunt on foot, no helicopters used, great animal, will be done as a full mount . Also shot a red deer stag, 17 total points on this bad boy, future wall pedestal mount. Also shot various varmits, brown hares (2), wallabies (4), brush tail possum (8), (this is done at night with spotlights) and a male and female Paradise Shelduck. Took 2 rifles, both Ruger Model 77's, one in .270 Winchester shooting 150 gr Nosler partions (factory seconds) and one in .223 Remington, shooting 55 gr Nosler softpoints, all my own reloads. Tahr and Stag shot with .270 and varmits with either my .223 or PH's .22 LR. Great hunt, raw trophies picked up at SEATAC airport today with taxidermist who will do mounts for me over next year or so. Great trip, nice folks, super scenery and great weather, I was gone before all the snows and bad weather really hit.

Open them in one of your photo programs and then resize them to like 30%. They are to big to post without resizing them. Once they are sized down they will attach and post up
