My little brother killed the biggest buck to ever come off our property. He is a 3x4 and he also has eye gaurds. His 4th on the one side is only like 5". He is a stud and I don't know a single person that could say he is not a trophy. Some of the studs I have chased around and never got to shoot have been 3x4 as well.

Part of me is kicking myself for shooting one year before last though it is also one of my favorite trophies.  I realize that is a conflict or juxta position in terms.   Throughout the year I certainly could have done better if I had taken the time with my multi-season permit, yet the hunt was fantastic and I feel he was a real trophy.

I kinda feel bad for people who have score as the first thing in their head.  I know what I call a trophy when I see it.  For me, the remorse isn't killing one that isn't HUGE, it's being done with hunting season.

:yeah: I could really care less what it scores.  Besides if it's big it's big. I don't need a measurement to tell me that.... To me it's more about character then anything.

Last year late archery saw a few of them. I saw one kick the crap out of a nice 4x4 and take his 6 does. Got 66 yards from him. To far for me. BIG DEER.

I had a love hate relationship with 3x4s.....My second mule deer in WA was a 3x4 and ws 29" wide the day he hit the dirt.    I passed a buck that was about 28" in Montana a few years ago that ended up grossing in the high 170's as a 3x4 - should have killed him!    Down in Colorado, my buddies have killed some giant 3x4s that go 32-37" wide and gross in the high 80's, low 90's.   Those giant 3x4s are awesome.

One of my hunting buddies is an outfitter in Sonora and they killed this 37"  3x4 last year.   I think it goes 201"

If they are mature and of my liking, I don't let a missing G3 or G4 stop me.
The Wyoming buck was with a couple of 4X4's, but this guy was dominated in size. No brainer.
The Washington buck was a 4X3, but had been a 4X4 plus in previous years (I have a set of his sheds and a friend has another set)!
A rough estimate has me about 1/10 4X3 vs. 4X4 in my inventory?

Great 3x4 pics.   Those are the type I am referring too.  Perfect examples.

Bone, I once saw a 3x4 on the South West side of Little Seventeen Mile Mt. on the rez that was pushing 36" and super heavy.  I wish that I could have gotten a pic.  Definately some big 3x4's out there.
