had to swap out my faulty moutrie
« on: August 20, 2011, 10:51:52 PM »
So my moultrie d-50 cost me a month of scouting.  I have 4 areas on a 300 acre piece of land that I planned on setting my cam up on and scouting. I know this piece of property very well and was basically setting up looking for a couple bucks I saw last season and turkey season.  Set the moultrie up in early July, leave it for a week and a half...0 pictures.  Not even of me coming or going.  So i chalk it up to user error and bring it home where I get a bunch of pictures around the house.  Sent it back up a week and a half ago, walked back and forth in front of it, snapped 4 pictures of me....good enough.  Went back this morning...same 4 pictures.  Trail is trampled animals have obviously been there and nothing.  Took the cam back to cabela's today and they swapped me out a stealth cam nomad ir.  Does anyone use this cam and could shoot me some feedback?

I've ran D-50's for a while and never had any issues.  I just bought a couple D-80's today, and am excited to get them out soon.  Sorry about your bad luck.  Bad timing with the bulk of photo opportunities on those big bucks dwindling as each day passes.

im sure it was just a random problem. I was planning on just swapping it out for a new one but Cabelas wasn't carrying it anymore.  Now I have to learn a new camera and have basically wasted the last 2 months that I could have spent putting together a game plan.  Oh well

Go with the I40 instead

You should be fine with the trophy Cam as long as it's not the 2010 8mp.   ;)
