$1k incident fine?

Yup.  If I so much as do something stupid like leaving a black bag of garbage next to my garbage can before garbage day, it's $1,000.  I hate it here.

Funny thing is, 75% of the people that live here hate the deer and complain that the deer have overrun the place and are destroying everything in their yard.

I can honestly say I've never had a deer, elk or bear go anywhere close to 100yards when I've done my part with the arrow.  I even single lunged a buck shooting straight down out of a treestand and he only went 40 yards and layed down within site of my tree.  Just gave him time and he never got out of his bed.  If you make a good heart/lung hit and do not push them, they are not able to go very far.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

That deer will run to the neerest cover before.it beds down. It won't Ned down in your yard. Or it will run for cover and fall over dead.before it gets.there. :hello:

last years doe, my first blacktail-shot double lung with 3blade 125gr muzzy- went 40 yards. with whitetails, even with mechanical 1 1/2" cut broadheads i've had them go 150, but most wont go more than 100yds, and an average for me would probably be 75 yds, and i've killed maybe 10 with the mechanicals, more with muzzy, or similar shape 3 blade broadhead. dont know about heart shots, as if i do that with the bow its an accident.

Man I do not know what to say on this one ... :dunno: years ago I would say my average was 50 to 100 yrds BUT Lately I have watched just about every deer or elk I have shot die right before my eyes ...like take a few steps and fall over ....No joke ... So is it shot placement -- having a faster bow--- or back to this again  :chuckle: THE WASP BROADHEAD ..... I would say them all  :yeah:

Whack one of those suckers. And lets see some picks. HOA will just give you a warning.

Nope.  I'm on the $1000 per incident fine level now.  They don't like what I do with my property.

Exactly why I would never purchase a home with a HOA. My property... not yours! Shut up, go away and don't look if you don't like it.    :mgun:    HOA's

I havent shot any deer with my bow, but have shot a few elk and they haven't gone farther than 50 yards.  Shot placement is the key.  There isn't much hunting involved with shooting a deer in your yard, which takes away the fun of it, just my opinion.

Mine today only went 30' and buckled the problem I had was getting the other deer to leave the area, maybe they thought seeing a dead one was cool?

Last year i shot mine on the edge of a pasture, double lung shot jumped like 8 feet in the air and took up abot 10 steps layed down and was out in less than 3 minutes.

I would say key is stay dead stilland silent after the shot and avoid moving in to find him. if you know you whacked him just stay put and wait 5 minutes. odds are he will still be really close.
