How big is this bear?

Been getting quite a few bear pictures. Haven't even tried hunting them yet, but will be soon. Any guesses on the size of this bear? I think it may look bigger than it really is because of how close it was to the camera.

is that the only photo?  Some times when the bears first come in on my cameras they look bigger until you get them in a more distance shot and are able to compare them to other deer or elk.  For me I would harvest that bear instantly My guess on lbs's is mid to high 200's almost 300lb's looking at the short snout.  Hope you get a chance to tag him. :twocents:

There's another picture but it's a lot further away and it's going straight away so it doesn't help much.

Bobcat, look at your pic with date.  Look at 11, see little rock behind 11.  Bring measure tape and measure hight and head give you good guess of how big. It hard to tell from look at pic.  If you ever put trailcamera point at something that way you can measure wide height etc. That's what I always do.  Nice Bear.  You need go there sit up tree.   :tup:

It doesn't come by there often enough for me to set up at that location and wait for it. That camera was there for 4 weeks and it came by once. There's a clearcut nearby, I am going to set up a ladder stand and try to call it into the clearcut.

Ya not easy sometime.  I have few trailcamera hanging out in wood sometime nothing for a month. Good luck on get bear down.
