hydrogen peroxide purchase
« on: September 13, 2011, 08:56:33 AM »
Okay, still on the quest for cleaner, brighter skulls. I tried the basic white and 40 volume mix and that didn't work to well, stuff dried out to fast, even when wrapped and didn't seem to make any difference in the whitening process.

Does anyone know where to get large quantities ( 5 gal or so) of 35% hydrogen peroxide so I can simply place the skulls I have into this for 24 hrs or so. I know I can buy 40 volume (which is NOT the same as 35%) at a local beauty supply store, but at 8-9 dollars a quart, that adds up fast and isn't what I'm looking for at anyway.

Internet search shows me this stuff (35%) isn't cheap either, but its gotta be better than buying 1 qt at a time.

I figure I can cut the 35% by half and still have a better cleaning agent for my skulls.

Any thoughts or other info is welcome.

Willi

Peroxide is not that expensive and you can reuse it.  I pay $17 for 30% from Reasurch Manikin.  Or you can buy 27% at a pool supply store.
