Thanks for all the kind words! It was a great hunt. We surely did not see as many opportunities as we usually do. We just made the most of the ones that we did this year. I think we added a few more elk hunting addicts though. That was the best part! Having my 9 year old with us this year was the best! I got to hear him gasp and see his eyes widen more than a few times. You could see him struting around with pride knowing he had a part in calling in some of the elk.

Its amazing how quickly the kids learn as well. As far as hunting the wind and calls and shot placement and such.

More to come later, but after being out of the office for two weeks, to much to catch up on..... but I just had to check in on huntwa and saw this post......

I was lucky enough to hunt with BrianB231 and his son, and  both myself and my son were fortunate enough to take an elk with their assistance!!  This was an amazing season with great success for our camp, but as BrianB already stated, having our children in camp with us this year, seeing my son take his first ever animal (5x5 bull), having my other son there to be a part of it, and the memories we all made and most importantly, reconnecting with my youngest son was better than anything I could have hoped for. 

This will be a season to remember and I am now sure that my son will be a part of our camp for many many years to come!!!

That is awesome.  I had my girls in camp for a few days this year.  It's great just to have them out in the woods.
