How is Fishing in Forks?
« on: September 20, 2011, 06:47:37 AM »
Is there anyone that knows what's shaking over in Hoh, Quilayute, Duc? I think it should be getting better each day with this little rain... Any info would be appreciated.

Well, thanks for all replies, I went 2 times already and fishing was great! Mentioned rivers are filled with fresh Silvers and some Kings.

Yep, the silvers be going crazy now.  Especially Sol Duc and Hoh.  The WORST part is that the BEST fishing usually occurs during deer season. :'(

Man, I was thinking of trekking up that direction this morning, but had evening plans so I stayed a bit closer to home.  I fished the Hump and tagged a smaller King, then hit the Satsop with no luck and at my final stop on my way home I hit two silvers on the Nisqually in less than 10 cast!

I ended up being late to my evening engagement due to cleaning fish, but no big deal, the first hour was just elbow rubbing anyways.  :chuckle:

Well I went 3 times already. First trip was on 2nd and 3rd of October, and then every weekend thereafter. Native netting took its toll - they got 80000 (eighty thousand) pounds of fish out from the Quillayute (river made of Sol-Duc and Bogachiel) in last two weeks. Everybody was pissed off when those news broke out... For those who know how hot fishing can be in the Quilly, this is noticeable, but fishing is still good.
