high buck success

I wasnt supposed to be on the hunt this year because my wife had already made plans for us.  Lucky for me i married a winner and a week before the hunt she altered her plans so i could get in two days of the early buck hunt with my father and brother.  Last year was our first attempt at the high hunt with no seccess,  the weather was horrible and we did not see a thing.  We decided to hit the same area because at least it is a beautiful area and if we are not going to see deer at least we could enjoy the scenery.  After hiking in and scouting the evening before the opener my hopes were not lifted because i didnt see a thing.  opening morning was defferent though, shortly into the morning hunt i spooked a nice four point and saw a half dozen doe.  then i spotted another nice four point and was working in to make a shot only to have another hunter take him down in front of me.  that was disappointing for me put i was happy to see someone have success.  After lunch and a couple games of cribbage with my dad and brother i went back to were i had spotted the first deer and my plan was to sit there and glass for awhile. I was getting excited again because on my way to the spot i saw three doe and two fawns.  i was at my spot only seconds and then just below the rock a buck jumped up and took off.  the buck stopped about 100yds away just long enough for me to pull my gun up and get the shot off.  At first i thought i missed because the buck just walk a few steps down and out of sight.  then i heard the sound of a lot of branches breaking and knew i got him.  My nest thought was i hope he is big enough because my dad said he didnt want to pack out something unless it was huge.  he was big enough

To me that looks like an old buck that had regressed from previous years when he was in his prime. I don't know. Just from the face and the configuration of the antlers, doesn't appear to be a young buck. How did the teeth look?
