Thankyou all for the Congrats. I was worried the story was too long but a lot happened and what can I say I'm long winded :). It was a great hunt that I will never forget. Due to my extremely slow internet I can only post one picture at a time. Ill try to get the rest up. Again sorry for stringing it along. It wasn't my intention. It's the slow internet here. My phone is faster. Can't wait until next year.

I'm smiling because I had a packframe on that trip.  You left out that I NEVER hunt without the frame buckled to my nimrod and the one day I decide to leave it at the truck and go light I end up carrying a quarter of an elk slung over my shoulder like a dirty bum that just found a bag of treasures! :bdid:

Had a blast though!  Its nice to talk to a human out hunting,  besides myself that is :chuckle:  You kind of made us sound like a couple p@#$y's though with the whole sleeping in thing.  Its a hunting story your not supposed to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth :chuckle:

Actually he was kind of lying.  The truth is that we were up in rimrock until Aaron got a call that his pen had a tear in the fence and one of his elk got out so we hopped in his black helicopter and flew right over.  Tracked that spike for 3 days until we came across a hunter who had been badly gored and he pointed us in the right direction.  Finally after several attempts at capture we finally had to put him down, for our safety and the rest of kittitas county's.  Also cut some fresh manbear-pig sign up there so u modern guys watch your backs up there.

Ha ha I forgot about the hobo method of packing elk. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of that. :bash:  yeah that man bear pig had been hitting the choke cherries pretty hard and man something is wrong with his digestive system.  And for those that don't know shooting at an elk while trying to hover a black helicopter is harder than it looks.

I would think it gets easier with practice.  :chuckle: Finally confirmation that the BMM is right about the penned up elk. Can't believe your brother ratted you out, he is a good man.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.
