whatever YOU like...  I like a full size XD .40.  theres a lot of others i like but this is my go to.

My preferred semi-autos;

Rifle       =      AR-15 platform....various calibers.
Shotgun =     Benelli....Sport II for clays, SBE for everything else.
Handgun =     Glock...because that's what I have had the best luck with.

Stay away from ALL EAA WITNESS guns. Mine is a 10mm and is at EAA for the 2nd time becuase it won't shoot Hornady hollow points. Jams worse now then when I got back from them the first time there. They won't tell me what is going on with my gun, won't return phone calls, nothing !!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE.....RIPOFFS !!!!

I have a CZ75D Compact (same as the SP-01, just without the bottom rail, IIRC) and I love it. 15 Round mag and it fits my hand like a glove. I have put 2,000+ rounds through it without a single malfunction.... even after it survived a 40 foot fall (long story)
