I use 2's and 3's for ducks. the higher number, the smaller the shot is.. so BBB is very BIG when a 6 is very small.

I like BB's for ducks, Triple B's or T's for geese. It may be a little overkill but the BB's definitely make the ducks fold up.

I like my birds to come in tight and into the decoys so I use #6 Hevi-Steel, until I run out of my last 2 cases then will move to #4's for ducks. I use #2 Hevi-Steel for geese or #2 black cloud snow goose loads for geese.

3" #2's for ducks seems to work well folding them for me. I try to stay consistent with speed and usually buy in the 1500-1560 FPS range.

I am more limited as I use a 20ga because of shoulder injury and a total shoulder replacement. For ducks I use Kent® Fasteel™ #2, 3, 4. If Kent® Fasteel™ is not available I use Federal® BlackCloud® #2, 4. For geese I have several boxes of the discontinued Federal® Ulra-Shok #1 steel, and Hevi•Shot® #2. I limit my shots to <45yds and kill just as many ducks & geese as I ever did with a 12ga.

Larger shot size is easier to find in the duck breasts. Less likely of breaking a tooth. I shot a few boxes of #4 and so far have found 3 or 4 pellets in my pepperoni sticks. They were all the smaller shot size. I had thought I done a good job and throughally removed all the shot.

I’ve settled on #2 for ducks & pheasants and BB for geese. I will use #4 if there are a lot of teal around, I just know the teal are flying through the holes in my pattern, I can’t possibly be missing them.

I use 3's or 4's for ducks and 2's of bb's for geese.
Same here. 4's for dekes, 3's to back up or 3's for jump shooting if it's a more open area.
