did some scouting this weekend and saw some bulls up close and personal!! I've never killed a big bull or been around them when there in the rut. very cool! We put some hard miles on got up on a ridge to glass let out a bugle and all hell broke lose. elk all around us. counting the hours till go time!!!

my dad drew the modern cow tag for the beginning of november so ill be in there helping him. hope to get on some cows.

I had a bull tag in there last year and killed a four point bull but very hard hunt.. I saw more bulls by the lake than anywhere... And above conrad meadows always has some bulls around... And make sure you can tell the difference between cattle tracks and elk, picked up a guy last year that tracked what he thought was a big bull for miles but turned out to be a range cow i felt bad but had to laugh...

Im guessing he has a rifle tag since he was out scouting yesterday during muzzle load season. we wont know how hes doing till the 22nd.  :dunno:
