got a new lab (free)pics added

A family friend called me today and asked if I wanted their 10 month old yellow lab for free.  She said they don't have the time or the yard to keep her anymore.  I'm a little torn not quite sure if I'm ready for a new dog.  I even got the go ahead from my wife and I'm still not sure.

Those are always the best.  That means it probably chews anything that isn't steel and howls and barks all day. And will pee and leave a pile everywhere.  I have also been a victim of a free dog.  It was awesome.

I picked her up yesterday afternoon and to my surprise she is more behaved then I anticipated.   She kennels when told and knows all the basic commands.  The only problem I have so far is my wife absolutely hates her name.  They named her gauge I'm thinking we might change it to sage.

When we picked up our yellow (white) lab. They we're calling him casper we quickly changed it to jasper

Sage is a great compermise
