Well I understand your concerns and am sure many bucks are poached there as well as every other unit but this one however was not but if I was you and heard both stories I would be suspicious as well.

Here is the link to the story about that Desert buck that was posted.

Keep in mind the desert muzz season last year was october 16-24.  :twocents:

I think the word desert buck and desert unit are being mixed up. I think what is being said is, the deer is a desert buck, not that it was killed in the Desert unit. Just a guess on my part, do not know any thing other than what I have read on here.

The unit is open to all the general seasons and a late bow hunt.  Still a few big deer in the spot were I was hunting well just call it nuna-ridge for now.

Yes, I read that. But to me it reads as it was not killed in the Desert Unit, but a desert buck. There is a lot of desert in E.Wa.

Yeah I know, lots of desert. Just thought the story was odd. I'm not one to give out a honey hole. Like I was saying earlier all legal then thats a nice buck and way to go. I wish I had that tag and buck.

Duck Dr,
I am not in the know on this buck. I agree with you, if it was a legal take it was one of the better bucks killed in the state last year.

Yeah no kidding, that hog looks like a Wyoming deer. I shot a muley 4 pt on opening morning rifle last year that was a baby compared to that thing, probably his great great grandpa :chuckle:
