But I tend to agree with the original poster, because I had the same problem this past weekend. Hiked from a main road on a gated "closed to motorized use" road hiked about 2 miles going to an area that I knew there would be no other hunters. After getting midway up the road hiking across a few canyons and ridges heading towards a USFS road that I knew was washed out at the bottom so no vehicle access so they gated it and posted a "closed to motorized use". I see some idiot trolling around on his ATV going slowly stopping, standing up on his ATV to glass, after a few mins he would sit back down and continue on his ATV and stop at the next clear cut to do the same thing. PISSED ME OFF. And yes I know for a FACT that it was closed to ATV's. Illegal use should piss you off, and everyone else for that matter. That's what we were asking the original poster here; Was it illegal riding or does he just have a problem with ATVs and bikes? If legal, they've got the same right to do it as we have to walk it. If not, report the sucker and end it.Correct and I venture a guess that we won't get an answer to that question...whether it was legal or not legal. I was just giving an example of my experience this past weekend. But on another note who are you suppose to report it to there isn't alot of Forest Service LEO's out there and not being able to catch up with the riders or there parked vehicle its tough to turn them in. Again it comes down to people following the rules and not being lazy, but if they continue to get away with it then what's there to stop em???Call 911, call the county sheriff, call WDFW enforcement. Get the number for your local gamie and put it in your phone ahead of time. I have mine. When I have a problem at the goose area or up in the woods, I call him.

Have you guys noticed how much damage motorcycles have done in the Wenatchee National Forest compared to any ATV ? And they're legal. I have and it's horrible. Why can they be legal and do that and the antiATVers don't say squat about motorcycles ? Just food for thought my friends. Complain about the real problems and take action against those abusers, starting with the Forest Circus. They Ok it and don't do anything about it. Maybe if the antiATVers looked into this, they might turn their anger into something positive.

If motorcycles are kept on trails that are intended for that purpose, they do less damage than that 1,000 lb horse does....if you dont like them go where they arent....there are very limited areas where they are legally allowed to ride their motorcycles anymore and it is getting more and more limited because of the a$$hats that cant follow rules. besides that...they are paying more to use those trails than any other user group out there because they have to LICENSE that motorcycle....horses, hikers, and mountainbikers dont!

I don't know what world you're from, but you can ride licensed motorcycles anywhere on forest circus roads. Go up out of Leavenworth and look for youself. On road and off road, legally. I have ATVs and pay all those license fees, gas taxes, tire taxes, insurance etc. We CANNOT ride them everywhere like motorcycles can. It's *censored*s like you that don't know WTF you're even talking about. How many motorcycle/ATV clubs do you belong too ? Horses and cows do a helluva lot more damage than ATVs.
