deer season mountain money
« on: October 20, 2011, 12:57:48 PM »
after actually getting out of my truck and hiking opening weekend of deer modern firearm season in vail tree form, I stumbled upon a lot of human sign and got to wondering... do people still really pack TP for mountain money?

I have always believed baby wipes are far superior, but maybe there is something better out there? perhaps the washington state game regs would work better, or all that extra license paper you get if you don't purchase ALL your licenses at the same time.

lets face it, taking care of business in the woods is an art form ( or so I heard someone say that one time ) so let the artists speak up.

I dumped a 6 pack out of a brown paper bag and used it last weekend. Desperate times call for desperate measures...

I lost a game bag last weekend because I was mountain-money-less.
Never again.

TP. Its the 11th essential.

While the subject has come up, please move your business out of the middle of landings and into the bushes. Heck, maybe even bury it a little. :twocents: Nothing better than driving out on a landing and stepping directly in a pile of S***.

I choose baby wipes, cause they are preferred.

However its usually TP.

There always seems to be a roll in the truck, tractor, quad, you name it theres probably a roll near by.

We call them fertilizer markers since they resemeble the airial spraying markers  :chuckle:

A guy has to improvise sometimes.

Jackelope, that is a first for me hearing about somone using a game bag for TP. :)

I've used socks before..........but now I always remember TP and/or preparation H wipes.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Somehow I managed to find myself on hikes without TP twice this fall.  First time I missed the TP when I was repacking my bag, second time I left it in the truck.   :bash:  Not a fun lesson to learn twice in one year!

I was pleasantly surprised what nature provided for a TP subsistute (leaves and the green moss that hangs from trees).  Not bad, haha.

I also have a pair of long john pants with only 3/4 of one leg due to some bad camp chili. Had to keep cutting strips off my long john's every hour or so to keep up. That was my first and last time forgetting TP in the woods.

Both wipes and tp are always in my backpack. Also a roll or two in the truck and an extra package of wipes.
