i thought there would be a topic on this but couldnt find one doing a search.  why do i have to log in every time i come to the forum?  i am using mozilla firefox as my browser.

You shouldn't have to. Do you change the box for session length to "forever" when you log in? If so, maybe your computer is set to not accept cookies?

I have that problem when I get on this site with my wife's computer (she has Windows 7 and Firefox).  My computer runs Windows XP and Firefox and I never have the problem with having to sign in.  What I found with her computer was that if I just went ahead and read the forum without signing-in, that it would automatically sign me in after a while.  I don't know why, but if I just wait a minute, I will be signed-in without having to type my user name and password...........
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I have to sign in every time but I do on facebook or other social websites too because I changed my computer cookie settings. Look and see how you have cookies set.

We were down most of the day yesterday until about midnight because we lost the hard drive. Most files were recovered and we are operating with a new hard drive now.

We may have to tweek numerous things again so please report any bugs you run into.

I am glad you have more patience than I. I would have said screw it! Thanks for the hard work so I have something to do when I am not at work

The server host is updating software sometime today due to a critical vulnerability that has been found. Not sure when exactly they are doing it or how much impact it will have on the forum function.

I keep getting directed to a website that asks about bidding on the domain, when I click on the forums.   :dunno:

They say the website is fine and it's all operator error....at least in my case..  :chuckle: :chuckle:

I couldn't get on this morning. Didn't do anything differently (except I tried to bid on the domain name :chuckle:)..... and now it's working again...

Too bad that mass email function didn't work correctly.  Bearpaw could send out an email to all members telling them to use that IP address if they are having problems getting logged into the site. :twocents:
