Get some hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle. it will foam up white if it hits any spot of blood. Worth a shot :dunno:

The last I checked, you can use a dog to recover a dead game animal, not however, to find a wounded animal.
So, the drill is to get a dog on a leash, then without so much as a pocket knife on your person, or anyone with you, go for a walk in the area you hope to find 'em. Nothing illegal about walking a dog in the woods...
You'll never get a Big'un if you keep shooting Little'un's.

Went back in for 3 hours today. Nothing. Then I take a buddy in there for 45 min and he turns up blood on the trail we thought there was no way he went through there because we could find blood. So now we have another direction. I'm not giving up.

I'm not giving up.

Good plan!  It sounds like your time is limited to only being able to take short little trips here and there.  Always a chance you'll find him, and it's certainly more than worth trying every available hour.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!
