Remington HyperSonic
« on: October 30, 2011, 07:13:35 PM »
Anybody using this stuff "Remington HyperSonic"? I used a few rounds on 3 1/2 #2s this weekend to drop a bird form one of our clubs ski busters. The blind were the first shot come from is 51 yards from the blind I was using. The crippled duck was flying in front of me and away so I took a poke at it and by god it crumpled at 55-60 yards out. The draw backs I see are cost $$$ and recoil; even in my auto it felt like a single barrel 10 GA.

Never have like any Remington shells. All over priced by the name. And were the only shells that would jam a 870.... Go figure  :yike:
Since junked the Remington name for Benelli

I shot a few boxes, but it ended up cracking the threads on the recoil spring in my Benelli.  They produce a lot pressure and have scene several blow outs and heard about guns breaking and portions blowing up.  I will pass on shooting them in the future.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

shot a box last year. Don't like them at all. Not worth the extra price in my mind. I've been shooting cheap steel. It works fine for my needs. I dont' ever take long shots. All mine are almost always in your face over decoys. much easier not to miss but, I still miss.... :chuckle:

I shot 1 shell. At a climbing bird overhead, dern near straight up. Killed him dead.

Also killed my shoulder for the rest of the day. I flinched on every shot after that.

Not gonna shoot em no more
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!

I'll shoot the Fiocci and spend the difference in price at the skeet and sporting clays range.
