Welcome!!! My wife calls this place "Hunter's Facebook".
What's a Vizsla?

Ya, I'm not much of a facebookerrrrr.    A Vizsla is a pointer.  We actually are around a lot of good Vizsla's.  I'm pretty lucky to be around great dogs.

Welcome to the site.

When I get a dog those Hungarian pointers look like exactly the ticket for me. Beautiful dogs ta boot. Do you waterfowl with your dog as well?

Funny thing about vizslas..........mine won't touch a duck, in fact he will run up to it, smell it.....tuck tail and back away was if it was a parasite.  I love my dog. Vizslas are great fun if you want your dog to be a generally interested in what your doing every second of the day!  HA  I most likely won't get another dog ever again.

That's a trip. I know they do retrieve. I actually got interested in them based on a post here in the Waterfowl board. I spose there are labs that won't touch ducks either....

Do you mean that you won't get another dog again? Or another breed of dog?

Let me be more clear.........i will never get another breed, because i like the way they are around the house.

My personal dog won't touch waterfowl and either will any of the dogs in his own personal line.  Just a family thing I guess.  But I love my dog.

Cheers

Welcome Duke there is an introduction section where you can tell us a little about yourself and where your hotspots are to hunt and fish are.
