I'd say only 3 more weeks till you get some photos of him on the ground.
Beautiful bear.

That's a beautiful bear! It brings a question to my mind, sorry if it's been hashed out previously. At what point do you quite supplementing the site with an attractant to make it legal to harvest there? I ask because I have quit adding attractant to my sites because I don't want to kill a bear and have problems because there are remnants of feeding in that area. I think this is a touchy area with all the cameras and feeding that is going on. I'm feeding "Deer", but the damn bears keep eating it! What do you think? We all want some bears to hit the dirt.

Under the Black Bear section the regs state:
Hunting Method:
Hunters may use any lawful big game modern
firearm, archery, or muzzleloader equipment for
hunting black bear. The use of hounds and/or
bait to hunt black bear is prohibited.
As long as you are not HUNTING it won't matter. You can still use bait for Deer.Elk,Bear to take pics. If you are going to hunt the sight for Bear you would have up untill opening day to remove the Bait or until you start HUNTING it.

Same here. I've talked to WDFW about this subject and it is touchy for everyone. The impression I got is that you could still get ticketed for killing a bear over a deer baiting sight. I don't know, I think it's a bit vague all around which could cause a warden to give you a ticket for something that is not explicitly illegal or cause you to get off for doing something that is vaguely illegal. Its a fine line to walk.

Maybe we could get a warden on here to answer questions like the WDFW guy did about the draw? Are there any wardens on this site or does anyone know one? I want to find one to clarify a few things.

I was talking to my gammie uncle about this on sat. at a family function. He said that its perfectly legal to bait "Deer and Elk" but you couldn't help it if a bear came in
. Be advised we were drinking too
: It's still a gray area and must be approached with caution. I would be careful how you do this. I think it's perfectly legal to quit baiting "deer" prior to the bear hunt. Who says you can prepare for more than one species in a given area?
