Day 3 of Late Buck
« on: November 19, 2011, 08:37:11 PM »
3 days in TA9 on JBLM and again did not see a deer  :bash: I've busted my butt for 3 days, from day light to dark.. Not even a doe :dunno: To make matters worst,, I spoke with some game dept. folks today (they were trapping westen grey squirrell) and they told me that in the 6 months they have been there, they have seen only 1 deer  :yike: WTH  :dunno:  One day to go

Oh yeah,, I did see the largest porkupine of my life.. For a moment I thought it was a bear cub..

I was out on the Skok today absolutely pounding the brush....I put easily 10+ miles behind me today walking around and sitting on different areas. Saw lots of fresh tracks and good sign but no dear. I did come across a couple cows up on a hillside around mid day though so thats good. See deer in elk season and elk in deer season.

Hunterman,

My son jumped a nice buck after I spoke to you... He had the rifle up ready to fire, but forgot to take the safety off...Nice 3x..We might go back to see if he is sticking around by his rub....
There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.

I can't sit in a vehicle that long. My hind quarters start to get sore and I get wrestless being stationary for to long.
