Mission Muzzy scouting trip
«

We found the migration path
We did catch up with one shooter that was chasing a doe . Kinda funny he was only about 100 yards from a hunters rig that had the high power tag
Any body that has or had this tag want to compare notes? We are headed back Wednesday night for the long haul. My wife gets the privilege of trying to do this tag justice, it will be her first HUNT!

The deer around here migrate vertically--They come down as the snow gets deeper in the higher elevations. It's already happening. Each storm pushes them lower. Yesterday I went looking for coyotes, and the higher I trekked, the fewer deer tracks there were. Got up to where there were no tracks in the snow at all. Keep this in mind when you come back to hunt the Mission area. Good luck.

We actually found a big bear track up Ruby
Lots of yote tracks up MT Home first spur off to the left on the way from Blewitt

Vary your footsteps so the crunching is random, and the animals won't be as suspicious. Only humans crunch along like the ticking of a clock. (Clocks used to tick, anyway.)
