Ok so since i got off work and got time to tell the story.  Here it goes, i get off work at 630am on black friday went home got my gear then a stop at the mini mart for breakfast. Well i finally arrived at the hunting area where ive been hanging for awhile but decided to park lower and go up. Well no matter where i went there was other hunters so i proceded to go higher up to the mtn where i made contact wth a buck. I got above him and was walking towards a partial tree to block my movement and step when only it was really windy, a stalk from 43 yrds to 20ish but was to confirm him to be a 2x2  :bash:. He started to move and i proceded to follow out of curiosity and after a while i lost sight. Well here he comes back again chaseing does, not even 10 sec later a spike apx 50yrds was trotting along. So i went over to his tracks were n was gonna follow them then i decided to stop and wait in case another elk pops by. Couple min later i hear this crunch crunch and there she was looking at me, i froze, she proceded to drop her head behind a log n eat. By the way i got no cover just my snow camo. Anyways i hooked my release n was bout to draw then she lifted her head and looked at me again, i stoped. She then droped her head behind the log as i drew back but had to wait a couple sec till she cleared the exposed roots and looked like she was gonna trot i then whistled. She stoped guessed 23yrds release *thwack!* i heard tree, as she ran back the way she came from i ran to where she was and looked up at her as she was crossing a gully and trying to make it up it fell backwards and started slideing. Perfect pass through shot but i put a second arrow in her. I got her all ready to be hauled out but i ended up getting help from a couple hunters, she was 3/4mile up hill from the truck.
