Your draw is 2 inches too long as far as I'm concerned. I have a Bear Element that was too long for me so I bought a new cam module on EBAY for $20 bucks. Mine was supposed to be 29" but was more like 30 so the new module dropped mine to 27 1/2 to 28" and its perfect now. Alot of people don't account for the 1/2" or so for the D-loop that most people use now so take that in consideration. Do you know what size module you have now?

Here is the link to the guy I bought mine from on ebay.

He has a chart that tells what size you need for each specific bow

I agree that it is too long of a draw for you, it looks like you should be in the 27 to 26 inch range.

Your draw length is 1 1/2 to 2 inches too long.  Also, you release is way, way, way too long.  Your release should fit in the palm of your hand at rest.  Mine is actually so short that most people wonder how I manage to put the release on the string.  This allows me to relax at full draw and not have to reach for the trigger.  I have a fletcher shorty.  This is one of the best releases for the way I shoot, and given your stature, you should probably look into getting one.

In summary, I suggest you shorten up the draw length 1 1/2 inches and get a fletcher shorty release.

You draw lenght is way to long... You need to shorten it at least and 1" or so and shorten up that release a 1/2" or an 1" and you've got er' made.  Better take it back to them or go to a pro shop and have em' shorten that thing for you!

I went to Sportsman's today to see what they had to say...only other local place that has the Bear mods in stock (they don't charge to change it, they just keep the old mod). At 26", the string was out in front of my face, and at 27" it was pretty darn good. I took my arrows back (the ones they had cut and put inserts in), and got me some new ones (still not cut yet). They guy at Sportsman's seemed very knowledgable and was willing to help me out a lot more.
