He bought the tag. "Auction tag."  Another member won the raffle tag.  I mean extremely lucky member!

Kinda figured. Thanks for clarifying.

Brad has the eastside raffle tag but there is one more raffle tag for a elk out there. Anyone know who has the se corner raffle tag?

o love that elk and i have no problem with someone buying a tag. the thing that i have always wanted to see out of all these so called money hunters is. the man with the money sweating his ass off packing that thing out. that is the work, that is what deserves praise, not the antlers.  or the money show me how tough you are when it comes to packing meat in a hell hole. that is what i am impressed with. :twocents:

You know, a lot of people on the Forum seem to love to talk about and debate grammar and language and such, so I'll toss this out for our mutual amusement/consternation:

Envy is different than jealousy, in my view.  I envy someone when I think he or she deserves what they got but I wish that I had gotten that thing, too.

Jealously is when I think someone doesn't deserve whatever it is she or he has gotten.  So, assuming this distinction, I am curious whether people are envious of this hunter (apparently named Kevin) or jealous?  Me, I'm envious!

I think it's apparent that some people do feel jealous in the literal sense. But yes... envy would be the correct term for most.

Jealousy is reflecting a persons attitude towards another person. This would be those who focused on the hunter and his situation. It is an emotional rivalry. "if I had that tag I could do that too".... that's jealousy

Envy: are those of who express feelings towards his accomplishment. Though envy can also be resentment towards his accomplishment.

How bout this... I "covet" his accomplishment...as in I feel "blameworthy desire" and "wish longingly" to down a bull like that!!!  :chuckle:

Yes, I shamelessly pine for such a bull in the pines!

Congrats Kevin you earned that toad, you put some miles on yourself looking for him. I enjoyed helping you and getting to know you and John and Doyle. And for Mossback i herd tons of negative rumors
on how they hunt and run their outfitt and its a top notch crew and some of the nicest guys you could ever meet or talk to. Maybe just maybe we can find the bull next year that we have the sheds off of the last two years. Again
I had a blast helping out and enjoyed every moment i was over there. Congrats to Mossback on another 400 under their belt lol haters can hate but it wont make you a better hunter thats for sure
