Although, i will admit ive never seen them shoot and kill an animal. I will admit to being in TA 20, hunting legally with a bow, and having gone through all the proper steps with the NAC on Ft. Lewis and having not one but two Native American men approach me with rifles. This happened in Dec of 09. They were wearing full camo with scoped rifles. Now call it what you want. I call it illegal poaching by two Native Americans! Yes. I reported the incodent. Good job for reporting the incident, poaching, tresspassing, etc.but 2 offenders is still 2 offenders, no matter what race. The main reason "Tribe bashing" occurs imo, is that they don't hide what they are doing, because there is little reason to.The average poacher is a little more secretive, full camo, and rifles, probably would not see them. I do not support "sovereignty" within US borders, but do understand that it is a minority who get all the attention, and cannot blame them all.

I think the mods should make a "I point fingers" section so I can avoid it all together! Don't get me wrong I don't condone any illegal, unethical, ignorant actions but to have a simple thread turn into a 25 page bashing thread that gets nothing resovled! Except making the mods work on monitoring everything to see who gets the boot first! I think they would rather enjoy the site too!

Very possible it was a legal kill that wasn't taken care of properly. If someone took it home, hung it up and decided to finish skinning and cleaning the next morning then the meat may have gone bad so they took it out and dumped it. I know where this road is and it is used as a dump site quite often. I have also heard of many white folks out that way that poach on the military rez. There is one person that lives on Fir Tree road that talks about it all the time, but nogbody can catch him in the act. Whites are just as much outlaws as tribal folks are.
Im gonna be in TA 20 today. I will take a look. I know exactly where you are talking about.
IF YOU READ MY POST...........The MILITARY RESERVATION!!! JBLM -- Joint Base Lewis McChordIt was NOT hit by a car or truck, it was not shot!! IT'S RIGHT NEXT TO THE ROAD!! They have rope either wrapped around them or tied through them the was once hanging from a tree. They were stacked neatly there and the top one has been ate off of from coyotes and birds. GO LOOK FOR YOURSELF It's the first Road to your right past the tank crossing or 1st road to your left just past Southworth Elemantary School. Turn on the road and make a right and its on your right. There have never been any elk out here before on that road. I've lived out here for 28 years and have never seen one there.
